Anne Marie Cox is a communications consultant and small business owner with over twenty years of experience working in the industries of PR, law, business and design. With each new project or client, she leads with a purpose to be “on point” and hopes to inspire others through meaningful, successful outcomes. Her entrepreneurial spirit drives her daily and she feels privileged to be amongst the wonderful, successful members of Women2Women OC. Anne Marie is a single, professional female living and doing meaningful work in Orange County. 

  • She enjoys writing, art, design, cooking, fitness, healthy living and self-improvement.
  • Her dog love’s name was Neuman and he is the inspiration behind the purpose driven business, Oil Paintings of Pets and Dog Eternal.
  • One of her favorite trips was in Rovello, Italy for her parent’s 50th anniversary and her sister and brother-in-law’s wedding with the entire family. 
  • She was fortunate to be invited to travel to Kenya, Africa to meet the Light of Hope girls.
  • Her parents will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in 2017. 
  • She hopes to meet her future husband, when the timing is right.

Ariana has been blessed to find her calling as a financial planner.  Her passion of simplifying what can often be overwhelming for individuals and couples is what truly fulfills and gives her purpose.  “My mantra on financial planning has always been to educate and navigate the client through constantly changing stock market environments and major life milestones, it’s a partnership of trust and respect.”  Her greatest mentor has been her husband Sid, who has played an integral role in her development not only as a professional but as the woman she is today.

JENNIFER greene, finance / treasurer

Jenifer is a long time resident of Orange County, she has gone to high school and college, raised two children and worked in the accounting field in the OC.  She has experienced the areas of publishing, mortgage and real estate development accounting and still loves her work after all these years.  She has given her time to her son’s Boy Scout troop as Advancement Chair and her HOA as Vice President.  She loves being involved in her community and as a single mother, is excited to be involved with a charity that makes women feel confident and successful.  Things she also loves are:

  • Cooking, she has always made homemade meals for her family and her son now aspires to be a chefThe family enjoys family time baking together, playing with their two cats, snowboarding and training together in the Japanese martial art of Aikido which Christine started practicing in 1989.
  • Growing a garden she can eat out of
  • Acquiring new ideas for making cheese and beer
  • Having her kids at home even though they are “officially” adults
  • Having an esthetician for a daughter who pampers her with facials, waxing and lashes

DENISE SCHRIEDEL, membership

Denise Schriedel is the Director of Sales & Marketing for DDS Legal Support in Orange County.  She is also a Freelance Writer specializing in Wine, Travel, Resorts & Spas for several regional publications.  As a former musician in the LA Rock Scene, Denise has enjoyed the Southern California lifestyle for over 40 years, and loves the OC Cultural community.  

  • Denise has 2 daughters, both in college. Mom travels often to see the girls on weekends, going to Napa Valley, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Cruises, Skiing and beyond
  • Meditation & Yoga at the beach is her favorite way to spend time, and attends Soul Center OC on Sundays in Newport Beach
  • Denise graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and thrives on networking with other like-minded individuals to increase abundance and prosperity!
  • She is active in several charitable organizations and has served as Vice-President for the Channel Islands Gulls, American Cancer Society, Arthritis Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Conejo & Las Virgenes, among other volunteer positions 
  • Denise believes that “the more you give, the more you receive”…she is extremely grateful for living in OC, having her health and happiness to help serve the community  
Karen Butera king, president

Karen is the founder of Karen Butera Inc., an international award-winning interior design firm where she has had the privilege of practicing her passion of creating personalized style and aesthetics for each project's vision for over three decades. Inspired and guided by a task-oriented father with a strong business ethic and moral code, together with the unconditional love of a beautiful, soft spoken mother, she is able to apply her entrepreneurial spirit in OC Women2Women by helping women locally and globally to become fully self supporting. As a founding member, she loves the challenge of helping others achieve their dreams. 

Karen is happily married to her wonderful husband and business partner, Ric King.

Robin is a marketing consultant who strives to make a difference each day in all that she does, whether it be in her professional or personal life. She was drawn to OC Women2Women because of their Christ-centered approach to empowering and nurturing women. This reinforces her belief that women are the center of the home, with the home being a powerful resource for change in the community. With over 18 years of Marketing and Communications experience, along with over 20 years of community service, she is excited about making a difference for the OC W2W organization.A few fun facts about Robin include:

  • She has raised and trained her Brittany as a Therapy Dog, and they are part of the Kaiser Permanente Therapy Dog Team.
  • Flowers and gardening bring her great joy, and memories of her mother
  • She enjoys empowering others by helping them overcome their computer challenges and unleashing their inner-techy
  • If money was no object she would treat her children, and 15 grandchildren, to a Disney Cruise
  • She has discovered that all the world’s problems disappear when you hold a newborn baby

Currently a stay at home mom, Shawna is enjoying all that toddlers have to offer and soaking up every moment she can with her adorable children. She owns her own design business and when she has the chance she takes on small design jobs and events or consults for other designers. She was drawn to OC W2W because of its vision to not only help women globally but locally, and she looks forward to ​helping as many women and children as time will allow.You may not know that:

  • She loves refinishing or repurposing found objects
  • She loves gardening with her 3 year old son
  • She loves helping people, young and old, to learn and discover new things
  • She loves miniature pigs

Paige is an experienced interior designer that is always able to find the beauty in her surroundings.  She is the mother of three beautiful daughters, to whom she has always taught the importance of faith, perseverance, and independence.  After meeting OC W2W's  founder, Karen Butera King, Paige instantly knew that she wanted to do anything she could contribute to the organization's legacy of good deeds and female empowerment.  She firmly believes that every woman has the right to be self-sufficient, and that many women all around the globe strongly benefit from the tools that OC Women2Women provides.  Some things you may not know about Paige are:

  • Her favorite place to visit is The Huntington Library for its art collection and botanical gardens
  • She is an avid knitter and showers her family in scarves every winter
  • She collects dolls and English chinaware sets
  • If she could choose a different time period to live in, it would be the Victorian era (she would be a suffragist, of course!)

FARAH AMIRSHEYBANI, EVENTS

Farah is the founder of Design Trends Group,inc, dedicated to addressing interior design needs of those who appreciate the finest that success has to offer. Farah holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design and has served residential clients and professional home builders for over 20 years. With attention to detail and excellence, she has created award-winning projects in major American metropolitan markets as well as in Germany, Spain, England and France.

  • Farah has been happily married for 33 years with three wonderful children. 
  • She enjoys Traveling great food, and awesome company
  • Her passion is helping others and joining OCW2W is a very uplifting experience for her

A native of Orange County, Christine Sells, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in private practice for the past 20 years and serves the Orange County community via her office in Newport Beach. She has extensive volunteer experience via WomenShelter of Long Beach helping women transition from domestic violence merely surviving to thriving in life. In the past, she has served on the Orange County Superior Court Panel of forensic psychologists and currently is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and holds a Staff position with the Sonoma Psychotherapy Training Institute preparing mental health professionals to utilize EMDR with their clients.

  • Christine is the head of her small family, mothering a boy and girl
  • The family enjoys family time baking together, playing with their two cats, snowboarding and training together in the Japanese martial art of Aikido which Christine started practicing in 1989.

C. Richard Hearn

C. Richard Hearn, a Charted Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), has worked in the investment and insurance industries for more than 30 years. Currently he represents clients in over 31 states providing investment counseling and insurance services to a broad customer base with an emphasis on women, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities and personal injuries.  In 1991 he established Newport-based STARCARE Associates, Inc. to fund various charitable causes primarily benefiting women and the disabled. STARCARE has always put the interests of its clients first. 

  • A distinguished military graduate, he was one of the youngest officers on the Army General Staff at the Pentagon where he was assigned to the Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence.
  • Mr. Hearn was named one of the Ten Most Important Outstanding Brokers in America in 2002 by Registered Rep Magazine.
  • The father of a hemophiliac, he learned first-hand about the challenges of assisting special needs clients and the intricacies of dealing with the legal, medical and government entities.

Sahar Hanna is the owner of the Le-Titre, a company that provides unique and personalized party favors to preserve and leave a lasting impression of the event. Sahar started her career designing and producing customized woman accessories. She then worked as a gemologist for several years. Fun facts about Sahar include:

  • Sahar has been active in woman’s causes and has organized fundraising events for numerous non-profit organizations.
  • Sahar has been an active member of her kids’ PTA and coordinated other school activities.
