Julie chung, secretary

Julie grew up in Glendale and attended University of California, Irvine to receive BA in psychology.  She was part of the downtown LA hustle and bustle working at Trust & Banking Company.  During that time, she met her husband and traveled around the world pursuing his career.  Currently, Julie is working part time at Karen Butera, Inc. She met Karen interning while attending Interior Design Institute. Happy to have the opportunity to work with OCWomen2Women to assist local women in need.  It is so heart-warming to meet the women in person.

Dr. Donald W. Wise

We are pleased to welcome hospitality industry iconoclast, philanthropist, and United States Marine Corps disabled combat veteran, Dr. Donald W. Wise, to be a member of the Advisory Committee.  Dr. Wise is a long-time Newport Beach resident.  He has demonstrated his selfless capacity to support the local community through decades of philanthropic endeavors right here in Orange County.  He also brings a lifelong career of business skills as an investment banker to assist in making strong decisions for our Advisory Group and our Board.


  • Dr. Wise is Co-Founder and has served as Senior Managing Director at Turnbull Capital Group since June 2010..
  • Dr. Wise is the Founder and Chairman of Solacing Our Soldiers.  SOS was founded as a 501 (c) (3) (in formation), to gather new and used hospitality amenities from hotels and resorts, and distribute new soaps, shampoos, and hair conditioners to homeless persons across the United States, to primarily assist homeless United States military veterans of  the Vietnam, Iraq I and II, and Afghanistan-era wars
  • He is Founder and has been Chairman at of the Newport Beach Men’s Luncheon since September 2012

Farah is the founder of Design Trends Group,inc, dedicated to addressing interior design needs of those who appreciate the finest that success has to offer. Farah holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design and has served residential clients and professional home builders for over 20 years. With attention to detail and excellence, she has created award-winning projects in major American metropolitan markets as well as in Germany, Spain, England and France.

  • Farah has been happily married for 33 years with three wonderful children.

Ariana Mangum-Miramontes,

Ariana has been blessed to find her calling as a financial planner.  Her passion of simplifying what can often be overwhelming for individuals and couples is what truly fulfills and gives her purpose.  “My mantra on financial planning has always been to educate and navigate the client through constantly changing stock market environments and major life milestones, it’s a partnership of trust and respect.”  Her greatest mentor has been her husband Sid, who has played an integral role in her development not only as a professional but as the woman she is today.

jude lipps,  grant committee chairman

Jude is a true native of Orange County, graduating from Newport Harbor High School, and attending Nursing School at Orange Coast College. She later received a BA in Health Services Administration, and an MA in Psychology from St Mary's College.  After working years in ICU at Hoag Hospital, she became the first nurse to perform a dialysis at the hospital, she worked the next 20 years in the dialysis field.  After retiring, Jude had the opportunity to perform medical missionary work in India and Ghana.  Recently she has accompanied friends who developed, and installed, portable water purifiers in remote villages in Ghana and Tanzania.  She is very pleased to serve with the wonderful women of OC Women2Women, in the business of serving others.

margaux kropf, vice president

Margaux is an artist and entrepreneur.  Her designs and concepts have been featured in multiple publications including Conde Nast, HGTV and Disney.  Margaux studied at UCLA and Brigham Young University, and holds bachelor degrees in both Business and Political Science. 

  • She has always been a participant in causes close to her heart and enjoys dedicating time to positive causes within the community.
  • Margaux and her sweet husband have three little girls that love books, sports, and traveling.

Angie is a native to Southern California and currently the Controller at Crown Realty & Development. She practiced public accounting for several years after earning her degree and graduating top of the Accounting majors at the University of Redlands before moving on to the private sector real estate industry. When she is not crunching numbers, she enjoys traveling, tap dancing and exploring new restaurants. Angie is recently married and her husband shares her love of classic cars. She is excited about joining the OC Women 2 Women team and supporting them in all ways possible.

Sahar Hanna is the owner of the Le-Titre, a company that provides unique and personalized party favors to preserve and leave a lasting impression of the event. Sahar started her career designing and producing customized woman accessories. She then worked as a gemologist for several years. Fun facts about Sahar include:

  • Sahar has been active in woman’s causes and has organized fundraising events for numerous non-profit organizations.
  • Sahar has been an active member of her childrens' PTA and coordinated other school activities.

DENISE SCHRIEDEL

Denise Schriedel is the Director of Sales & Marketing for DDS Legal Support in Orange County.  She is also a Freelance Writer specializing in Wine, Travel, Resorts & Spas for several regional publications.  As a former musician in the LA Rock Scene, Denise has enjoyed the Southern California lifestyle for over 40 years, and loves the OC Cultural community.  

  • Denise has 2 daughters, both in college. Mom travels often to see the girls on weekends, going to Napa Valley, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Cruises, Skiing and beyond.
  • Meditation & Yoga at the beach is her favorite way to spend time, and attends Soul Center OC on Sundays in Newport Beach.
  • Denise graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and thrives on networking with other like-minded individuals to increase abundance and prosperity!
  • She is active in several charitable organizations and has served as Vice-President for the Channel Islands Gulls, American Cancer Society, Arthritis Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Conejo & Las Virgenes, among other volunteer positions .
  • Denise believes that “the more you give, the more you receive”…she is extremely grateful for living in OC, having her health and happiness to help serve the community.
Karen Butera king, president

Karen is the founder of Karen Butera Inc., an international award-winning interior design firm where she has had the privilege of practicing her passion of creating personalized style and aesthetics for each project's vision for over three decades. Inspired and guided by a task-oriented father with a strong business ethic and moral code, together with the unconditional love of a beautiful, soft spoken mother, she is able to apply her entrepreneurial spirit in OC Women2Women by helping women locally and globally to become fully self supporting. As a founding member, she loves the challenge of helping others achieve their dreams. 

Karen is happily married to her wonderful husband and business partner, Ric King.

Robin is a marketing consultant who strives to make a difference each day in all that she does, whether it be in her professional or personal life. She was drawn to OC Women2Women because of their Christ-centered approach to empowering and nurturing women. This reinforces her belief that women are the center of the home, with the home being a powerful resource for change in the community. With over 18 years of Marketing and Communications experience, along with over 20 years of community service, she is excited about making a difference for the OC W2W organization.A few fun facts about Robin include:

  • She has raised and trained her Brittany as a Therapy Dog, and they are part of the Kaiser Permanente Therapy Dog Team.
  • Flowers and gardening bring her great joy, and memories of her mother.
  • She enjoys empowering others by helping them overcome their computer challenges and unleashing their inner-techy.
  • If money was no object she would treat her children, and 15 grandchildren, to a Disney Cruise.
  • She has discovered that all the world’s problems disappear when you hold a newborn baby.

Currently a stay at home mom, Shawna is enjoying all that toddlers have to offer and soaking up every moment she can with her adorable children. She owns her own design business and when she has the chance she takes on small design jobs and events or consults for other designers. She was drawn to OC W2W because of its vision to not only help women globally but locally, and she looks forward to ​helping as many women and children as time will allow.You may not know that:
